Fiyah! is the brand new magazine based in Leeds, focused on independent arts in
Yorkshire. This spans music, art and style, with our articles insightful, relevant
and above all interesting.
We have written about issues, companies and events that
we feel are at the cutting edge of the arts industry, both in Leeds and further afield
in Yorkshire.
Our team is made up of four members, each with different
roles and skills, allowing us to give a dynamic range of subject matter and content
to give you, the reader, an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Each team member creates their own features
for the magazine, including writing articles, creating graphics, taking photographs and designing spreads. These are then transferred and optimised for the web by Billy Watson, head of Web Design and Development.
Fiyah! exists in both printed and digital format. The printed magazine's first issue
was released in April 2012, and distributed - for free - around the areas of Hyde Park
and Headingley in Leeds.
The second issue is currently in the pipeline, with many
articles and features advancing beyond the development phase. All issues will also be available through the MEDIA section in PDF format to view or download.
The digital version
of Fiyah!, offers all articles from the
magazine as well as further content, including exclusive multimedia features as well
as comments and discussion.
